HELLO,

Kate has worked as a multi-media producer and reporter since June of 2017 in Beaumont, Texas. She creates multiple newscasts everyday and is constantly thinking outside the box. Kate has also created packages which required shooting, writing and editing skills. Kate has been through multiple breaking news and weather events including Hurricane Harvey, Tropical Storm Imelda, and the TPC Plant explosion. Kate is a quick learner and is great at making decisions. She is a hard worker and is always willing to go above and beyond for the job.

Kate is a multimedia journalist who has had experience in news and feature stories. She has extensive knowledge of multiple aspects throughout the newsroom. Things like editing, producing, reporting, and anchoring. Kate is good at working under pressure and always has work done well before its deadline. She is a hard worker, team player, and is always looking to better herself. 

Kate spent her college career working with many different forms of media, including radio, print and television. ​

While also in college, Kate was part of Tri Sigma Sorority and served as community service chair for the spring of 2015. She is a part of the Orange Keys National Honor Society where she serves as an ambassador for Sam Houston State University. Only 16 students are chosen for this prestigious position.

Kate also was a part of National Broadcasting Society for all four years of college. Her junior year she served as the Alumni and Professionals Coordinator where she was responsible for coordinating trips for the chapter and inviting media professionals to come speak during chapter meetings. During her senior year of college, Kate served as the chapter president of NBS and was in charge of many things including, but not limited to, delegating work, coordinating events, and handling finances of the organization.
